Sheffield’s Martin-Brooks has retained its position as one of the region’s most respected roofing firms after achieving a top industry honour for a sixth consecutive year.
The firm has received a gold Safety in Roofing Award from the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) in recognition of its first class health and safety practises.
This is Martin-Brooks’ sixth successive gold award demonstrating its commitment to staff training and consistently high standards of health and safety. Last year, the firm was crowned national winner of the competition after achieving the best score in the country from the external assessors.
Gold, silver and bronze awards are presented annually by the NFRC to promote a positive attitude towards health and safety among its members. The rankings are based on an independent evaluation of each firm’s accident statistics and staff awareness of the dangers of working at height.
Nick Brooks, Martin-Brooks’ director, collected the firm’s gold award at the NFRC’s Yorkshire and North East region annual general meeting. He said: “We are very proud of our health and safety record and we work hard to retain the high standards our clients and domestic customers have come to expect. To have our efforts recognised once again by the NFRC not only demonstrates the quality and reliability of our services, but also the skills and professionalism of our dedicated roofers.
