Here are details of the national regulatory bodies and trade associations with which we are affiliated.
National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC)
The NFRC is the UK's largest roofing trade association, representing more than 60% of the industry by value. The organisation actively ensures high standards of workmanship and sound business practise through a strict code of conduct and independent vetting procedure. All members hold comprehensive insurance cover and insurance backed warranties are available. Martin-Brooks is also listed on its Heritage Register.
Constructionline means suppliers no longer need to repeatedly fill in standard pre-qualification forms for every tender. Members have access to 8,000 buyers already using the database to source contractors and consultants.
This government-approved scheme for England and Wales allows professional roofing contractors to self-certify refurbishment work for Building Regulations. It encompasses all types of roofing for domestic, industrial and commercial properties.
Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)
CHAS is a government backed initiative providing information about companies’ health and safety performance. Prospective clients know that CHAS members meet acceptable standards of compliance.
This is a nationwide scheme helping consumers find reputable tradesmen. The NFRC is an approved operator for TrustMark and together with the government and other key bodies they are working to stamp out rogue traders in the roofing industry.
Achilles BuildingConfidence is an online registration and accreditation standard used by 17 buyer organisations and more than 1,500 suppliers in the UK construction sector. It is designed to meet the increasingly demanding legislative and risk management needs of clients and drive industry best practise.
